About Us
Montello Rotary is part of District #6270 of Rotary International. Rotary is the world's first service club organization. Rotary International has more than 1.2 million members in 32,000 clubs worldwide; and 161 countries. Club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally and internationally to combat hunger, improve health, provide education, and promote peace under the motto;
"Service Above Self".
Our mission is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise. To promote high ethical standards and advance understanding, goodwill and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
The Four-Way Test
The test; which has been translated into more than 100 languages, asks the following questions:
Of the things we think, say or do
1. Is it the truth?
2. Is it fair to all concerned?
3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Rotary Youth Exchange
Each year our club offers a student ages 15-19 years old a chance to travel abroad for cultural exchanges for a full academic year. Typically the exchange student would stay with 3-4 host families. If you would be interested in being a host family, please contact us. This year our exchange student is Berk from Instanbul, Turkey.
