Tuesday, July 26, the Montello Rotary Club was pleasantly surprised by a visit from their Youth Exchange Student from the previous school year, Marcela Kemp Fernandes, from Rio de Janoeiro, Brazil. Marcela, along with her mother and mother’s friend, visited Marcela’s host family, Luke and Kari Haas, and son Henry, for a few days before traveling elsewhere in the country. Since returning back to her home country, Marcela has been teaching English to both youth and adults, as well as teaching a young American girl Portuguese!
